Refund policy

Restore Lab sells Smilekit purple whitening strips online to customers in South Africa. This policy explains how cancellations, returns and refunds work. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECT Act).

1. Changed your mind? 7-day cooling-off period

Because you bought online, you may cancel your order without giving a reason and without penalty within 7 days after you receive the goods (section 44 of the ECT Act).

  • To cancel, email us at info@restorelab.co.za with your order number and the word "cancellation".
  • Please contact us before sending anything back so we can give you return instructions.
  • If you cancel, the only charge you may be asked to pay is the direct cost of returning the goods to us.
  • We will refund any payment made, including the original delivery charge, within 30 days of the cancellation.

2. Damaged, defective or incorrect items

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, or the product is defective, please contact us with your order number, a description of the issue and photographs.

Under section 56 of the CPA, you may return defective goods within 6 months of delivery, at our risk and expense. You can then choose whether we repair or replace the product, or refund the price you paid.

3. Before you return anything

  • Please contact us first. Items sent back without contacting us can take longer to process.
  • Where possible, return the product in its original Smilekit packaging, with any unused sachets.
  • Keep your proof of postage until your return has been processed.

4. How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are paid back to your original payment method. We will email you when your refund has been processed. Your bank may take a few additional business days to show it.

5. Cancelling before dispatch

Because we buy this product from our supplier after you order, please contact us as soon as possible if you want to cancel before your order is dispatched.
